The Front Desk Receptionist is an entry level position that performs a multitude of different administrative tasks. The primary responsibility is greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service assistance. This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment.

SCHEDULE: Monday and Wednesday 8:30AM-1:30PM, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30AM-3:30PM, and Friday 8:30AM-2:30PM.


Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

Provides office support services to ensure professionalism and effectiveness including but not limited to:

Checking in all visitors and staff into the building and ensuring they have completed the requirements to access the facility (signing-in, COVID-19 questionnaire and temperature check).

  • Answering phones and routing calls to specific people. Taking messages with clear and concise information and relaying information to designated staff members.
  • Welcome and greet guests and assist them with locating meeting spaces, staff members, answering questions, addressing complaints, and direct them to appropriate departments/staff members. Strong communication and people skills needed.
  • Educating visitors on UACDC mission, programs, resources, and upcoming events. Help complete required paperwork to register if necessary. Maintain UACDC flyers throughout the facility and ensure outreach binder is kept up to date. Promote programs to visitors.
  • Keep the rotunda and welcome station tidy and presentable for a good first impression for visitors.
  • Operate office machines (fax, printer, scanner, and phone) to complete administrative tasks.
  • Sending, receiving, and distributing mail, packages, and other deliveries.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute a resource guide for community members to assist them with their needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external UACDC clients or customers.
  • Other duties as assigned



High School diploma with minimum of 2 years of experience in a related area or equivalent education and experience. Prior work experience in a non-profit organization is an added plus. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). The ability to multi-task, strong problem solving, priority setting, organization and collaboration skills are required. Excellent proof reading and quality control skills are required; along with strong time management skills is a must.


Bi-lingual, English and Spanish.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software; Order Processing systems; Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Spreadsheet, Presentation, relational database and Word Processing software.
